Heaven and Hell

The most notable and longest running element of the fantastic man has ever trivilatized. The Fall of Satan, The Last Judgement, The Return of Christ, The Comming of Anti-Christ, The Burning Bush and The Parting of The Red Sea, and other elements have taken on the aspects of being fairy tales or politically incorrect in modern times.

Friedrich Nietzche boldy declared "God is Dead!" at the dawn of the 20th century.

Nietzche is dead, and even to the deicated cynic-the idea that Nietzche might have been in error is growing.

Inspired by the novel Gehenna by Paul Thigpen. The scene that possibly haunted every childhood (and perhaps some adulthoods as well). You have been found guilty by the evidence of your entire lifetime. The scales of justice are shattered because nothing no one can say will help you at this point of your after-life. The Judge has found you guilty-the sentance is eternity in a place where the answer to the question "How long must I endure this?"is answered with the simple word "Forever!" "So I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it. But one of the elders said to me, 'Do not weep. Behold, The Lion of the tribe of Judah, the root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose the seven seals' " Revelation 5:4&5 NKJV. If Jesus is comming back and He is the 'Lion', then this is how I see it. No somber, sad, 'Hey I'm back! Nail me to the tree again.' type of Saviour. When He returns, He will mean business. And I truly feel that is the real reason why most people get so freaked out over Christianity. It has nothing to do with freedom of religion. It deals with the fact that when (not if-sorry...not!) He does return, it will be time to answer for everything! Click here for a larger view.

"Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name." Revelation 13:1 NKJV. The monstrosity that Satan will lend his power to in the EndTimes and will challenge God Himself on the plains of Arrmegeddon 7 years later-only to fail. Perhaps one of the top ten debated points in the Bible. "What will the beast be?"A seven nation alliance? A super computer? Or will it truly be some behemoth long forgotten from the ocean floor-waiting till it's appointed hour? Kind of makes HP Lovecraft's "Cthulhu" sound almost possible. This selection goes hand-in-hand with the earlier Christ/lion entry. In the three dimensional world of the mundane, such a sight would be impossible. But in the eyes of the spirit realm. . .woah! This is how I see the return. The cosmos itself bowing back and alowing Him to enter into our concept of time. The satelites, shuttles, and the good old Hubble will end up looking right thru Him-which is a pity because this is the kind of stuff NASA and everyone else has been looking for all this time..
